It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Stars Sued for Dog Bite Attack

According to DogsBite.org, about 1,000 people in the U.S. need emergency care for a dog bite injury. It’s important that dog owners and those who find themselves in the presence of dogs follow tips that will help them stay safe. As a dog owner, it’s important that you keep your dog on a leash when in public and you properly train them to avoid outbursts of aggression. With both dog owners and those who don’t have dogs but are around dogs, it’s important to supervise the dog at all times, especially around children. Children tend to smother dogs with love which can be misinterpreted, setting the dog off into a possible attack. Educate yourselves on how dogs like to be treated and how they don’t like to be treated. This will help when it comes to avoiding an unnecessary accident.

In the case of Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney, two of the stars of the hit comedy show ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia that airs on FX, the couples dog bit a toddler while being off of its leash during a Father’s Day party back in 2012. Now, the family of the victim is suing Olson and McElhenney for their child’s injuries. According to the report, the toddler didn’t provoke the dog in any way and the child will likely be scarred for life. This case proves that even if dogs are not seemingly aggressive, it’s always possible they can attack. The best way to ensure pet safety is to keep your dog on a leash andsupervised at all times if not in the home. It’s never okay to let the dog off the leash in public, no matter how docile and friendly they are.
